The Importance of a Self Care Routine
Self care is something we all could use some more of. In fact, the happiest people tend to be those who prioritize self care. It can look a little different for all of us, but tending to ourselves and caring for our own needs is truly the best we can be for ourselves. No matter if it's five minutes a day, or thirty minutes a day, once a day or week -- as long as we are taking the time to do it.
Being in nature
Breathwork (my favorite breathwork sessions coming soon...)
Meditation (guided, or doing nothing for a period of time) (my favorite meditations coming soon...)
Listening to relaxing sounds, like nature (water sounds are my favorite), instruments, or high frequency sounds like sound bowls and tunes set to specific frequencies for specific results (more on that coming soon...)
Eating nourishing foods - what makes you feel best?
Drinking water. Filtered preferred, add a half teaspoon of baking soda to a glass to make it alkaline
Skincare routine - the basic formula is exfoliate, optional toning, and moisturizing
Daily affirmations (my favorite affirmations here)
Morning and Evening Rituals (extremely important)
Habit tracking (what are your goals, reverse engineer steps, implement into daily habits)
Supplements, tinctures, nootropics (recommendations here)
Salt baths and foot soaks (my recommendations coming soon...)
Proper toothcare (my recommendations coming soon...)
Daily tidying (at least one! It can be tiny!)
The more we take care of ourselves and water our own cups, the more we can tend to the needs of others. This creates healthy relationships. Interdependence, when two healthy people come together with their cups filled for themselves, ready to fully be present and immerse yourself in an experience together.
